McDonalds, I’m Lovin’ It

McDonalds is a very popular fast food restaurant chain that started in American and now is found worldwide in 118 countries all the way from France to China.

The first McDonalds was called McDonalds Bar-B-Que and was opened by Dick and Mac McDonald in San Bernardino California. In 1949, they replaced potato chips on the McDonalds Menu with French Fries and introduced Triple Thick Milkshakes as well.

By 1965 during their ten year anniversary there were over 700 McDonalds restaurants throughout the United States of America. It wasn’t until 1966 when McDonalds aired their first television commercial featuring the famous clown Ronald McDonald. The moment he hit the airwaves he was considered to be an instant hit.

It was not until 1967 McDonalds went international opening up restaurants in Puerto Rico and Canada. The major turning point in McDonalds is in 1968 when they introduced the Big Mac. This sandwich is famous for its two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun and has been the topic of numerous catchy jingles throughout the years.

It was also this year when the famous hot apple pie was introduced and McDonalds opened up their 1000th restaurant. McDonalds has played a large part in American history. It’s a franchise that is still going strong today. They offer discounts through McDonalds discount vouchers to boost their sales.
