Mandatory Private Healthcare

People who live in the US already know what it is like to be required to carry some sort of health insurance, or have to endure applying for inferior benefits from whatever state they are living in. This has been a way of life for people living in the US. However, there are many other countries that have a public health care system that is in place to care for every person within the country, some of them even care for people who are just visiting. Currently, president Obama is trying to bring the US into a public healthcare system and many are fighting him. The truth is, no one really understand just how important it is to have a public health care system, until it is no longer available to them. Most Europeans could not imagine having to pay for medical care as a result of being uninsured. In fact they have probably always had medical treatment as a part of the public health care system. It makes you wonder what those people would do if anyone ever took that away from them. They would wind up in the same boat as the 40% of all Americans who have no private insurance and receive no health care. With that said, there are probably not a lot of people from those countries who would vote for private health care. If people from countries that have a public health care system ever went to a mandatoryprivate healthcare system, chances are there would be a major uprising. This can be compared to a person always having $20.00 taken out of their paycheck, yet always being able to eat whatever they wanted, without having to pay for it. And then having someone come and tell them they will no longer eat for free and the food is really quite expensive. Those people may go hungry. This is essentially what would happen if Europe as a whole ever went over to a mandatory private health care system. People would have a rude awakening when they saw what the actual cost of medical care is. In the US, a single visit to the emergency room can run a person from $500.00 to $5000,00, depending on what they are brought in for.
